We know what you’re thinking: Alabaster Snowball is CUTE! And you are right—this energetic pup is adorable, from his fluffy ears to his waggy tail.
Alabaster is a loving and social dog who gets along with everyone he meets, dogs and humans alike. But beneath his big smile and fluff is an anxious boy, looking for structure and reassurance he may not have had as a young pup. Alabaster is getting a lot of support through our Underdog program, where we’re helping him learn that the big city doesn’t have to be so scary. We’re also helping him build coping skills to channel his anxiety and practice calm behaviors. Alabaster’s adopters will need to keep up this routine, with our help of course!
Alabaster will be a bit of a project, but he is an adorable, sweet, and social pup who has truly stolen our hearts. It may take him a little bit of time to settle into a new home and routine so he is a foster-to-adopt candidate.

Bold, curious and busy. Terriers were bred to hunt independently, which shows up as tenacity, a strong prey drive and a low tolerance for boredom. They are often more dog-selective than people-selective.
Moderate to high, and mental more than physical — 45-60 minutes plus digging, sniffing or puzzle outlets.
Their small size suits apartments well. Watch for barking at hallway noise and a strong interest in squirrels and rats.
