Meet Buddy! This affectionate hound mix went into foster care under difficult circumstances when his owner sadly fell terminally ill. Buddy is looking for a home that will cherish him just as much as they did, and whoever finds him will be very lucky indeed.
Buddy is a big boy with a lot going for him! His foster reports that he's house-trained and well-mannered. His love language is belly scratches, and he bonds quickly and deeply with the humans in his life. Fetch, snuggling, and following his nose round out his favorite pastimes.
Buddy can be a little uncertain around other dogs, so we think he would thrive as your one-and-only pup. If you're looking for a loving, easygoing companion who will be your shadow on the couch and your enthusiastic partner on a run, Buddy might just be your guy. He is ready to give someone his whole heart. Adopt Buddy!
Mixed-breed dogs pull traits from several lines, which often means fewer breed-linked health problems and a temperament best judged by meeting the dog. What the foster or shelter observed day to day is far more predictive than any breed guess.
Depends on the individual. A daily walk plus play is the baseline; ask the foster how the dog behaves after a quiet day.
Mixes are often excellent city dogs. Building breed restrictions are usually enforced on what a dog looks like, so ask the rescue how the dog is typically identified.
