Meet Jace! This sweet Frenchie was sadly surrendered to the city shelter after becoming paralyzed in his former home. While we are having vets evaluate Jase and come up with a rehabilitation plan to ensure his life is as pain-free as possible, he will be paralyzed for life and will likely need the help of a wheelchair to get around. At this time, we know that he has some nerve damage and that he luckily is able to eliminate on his own!

Comic, affectionate and people-oriented. Frenchies want to be with you constantly and are usually easygoing with strangers and other dogs.
Low — two or three short walks and some indoor play. They tire quickly.
Near-ideal apartment dog: small, quiet and low-exercise. The serious caveat is breathing — flat faces make them dangerously heat-intolerant, so summer walks must be early, short and shaded. Expect higher vet costs.
