Sailor Mercury first arrived at Animal Haven as a puppy in late 2024. She was adopted and then returned due to no fault of her own. This darling girl has grown up, but is the same sweet pup we remember!
While Sailor Mercury loves spending time with her people, she is pretty nervous about the big city. She will do best in a quieter neighborhood or a home outside of NYC, where she can venture outside without too many cars, bikes, mopeds, and all the scary noises they bring. Our team will help set her future family up for success and are already working on building her confidence day by day.
Sailor Mercury could also lose a few pounds, so if you’re open to helping this girly on her confidence AND weight loss journey, we’d love to introduce you. She will repay you with the most adorable face and gentle paw boops to remind you that she needs affection. Adopt Sailor Mercury!
Friendly, people-focused and famously food-motivated, which makes training straightforward. Labs stay adolescent longer than many breeds and are often goofy well past their second birthday.
High needs — 60-90 minutes daily. Labs love retrieving and swimming, and an under-exercised Lab tends to get mouthy and destructive.
Can do well in an apartment if genuinely exercised. Size and shedding are the main constraints; most are elevator- and crowd-tolerant.
