About Lavi

Lavi is beauty and grace at 32lbs and a fresh 1 year old. She’s goofy and playful, snoozes like your grandpa at a family gathering, and cuddles like a bug in a rug. She was found on the side of the road in Gangneung, tied up and left alone.

This gorgeous girl is more than good looks - she has many talents in store! First, the obvious, that toof! Her cute snaggletooth gives her facial expressions extra sass just when she needs it and hides away when more serious matters are afoot. When Lavi is super comfortable in her space, she’ll knock your socks off with her best human impression as she stands on her back legs as tall as she can manage. All jokes aside though, she’s been such a sweet girl inside, does great in her crate, and has even started playing with her foster buddies.

Lavi is still adjusting to the busy city and definitely needs help with her fear of large vehicles. She’s starting to make progress with her foster, but she will definitely benefit from our Jindo Journey training stipend! Lavi and her future family are eligible to receive $300 towards their training package to make sure everyone is set up for life long success.

You don’t have to wait for an adoption event. In-person meet-and-greets are available in the NYC area, with virtual meet-and-greets available for adopters outside NYC.

Korean K9 Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit saving dogs from the Korean dog meat trade and overcrowded shelters.

Mixed / Unknown breed temperament

Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed. The rescue's write-up is the best guide.

Exercise

Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.

In a NYC apartment

Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
