Jindo · Korean K9 Rescue
6 years · Female · 53 lbs · Long Island City, NY
This smiley silly babe is Rinda, she’s a cute 50lbs and 6 years old and is most definitely living life to the fullest. She was rescued in 2021 by our rescue partner We Act at a dog meat farm in Hwaseong. Though she had such a horrible start, she has found nothing but happiness in her new life.
Rinda is a big believer in stopping to smell the roses and will remind you daily to slow down and really appreciate the small things in life. She’s a very relaxed walker outside and a cozy girl inside. No matter what she’s doing or where she is, she has a smile on her face! She enjoys gentle breezes in the sunshine, watching the world roll by through a window, and wiggling her butt to get your attention. Truly such a dreamy girl.
This sweetie is also eligible for our Jindo Journey training stipend so she and her adopters can receive $300 towards their training! Rinda is very treat motivated so she will definitely be fun (and funny) to work with on whatever you need or please.
You don’t have to wait for an adoption event. In-person meet-and-greets are available in the NYC area, with virtual meet-and-greets available for adopters outside NYC.

Korean K9 Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit saving dogs from the Korean dog meat trade and overcrowded shelters.
Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed. The rescue's write-up is the best guide.
Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
