About Maggie

Maggie is a friendly, outgoing girl who believes the world is full of best friends (both people and dogs!) she hasn't met yet. When she spots a potential new friend, her tail gets going and the rest of her body can't help but wiggle right along with it.

She absolutely adores attention, so naturally she's happiest when she's cuddled up with her people on the couch. She has a gentle, loving nature and truly doesn't seem to have a mean bone in her body.

Maggie also has a bright, curious mind. She's eager to engage with the world around her, and she approaches new challenges with focus rather than frustration. She's the kind of dog who wants to learn, wants to participate, and is always ready for whatever comes next.

Maggie is sweet, loving, and playful, and she's excited to join a patient and loving home!

Maggie is approximately 5y 1m 12d old and is fully grown at 50 pounds. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done.

Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog.

Mixed / Unknown breed temperament

Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed. The rescue's write-up is the best guide.

Exercise

Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.

In a NYC apartment

Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
