About Zibby

Hi! I’m a 4-month-old Southern gentleman who just traded the bluegrass of Kentucky for the concrete sidewalks of NYC. You might think the big city would overwhelm a puppy like me, but I actually strut down these busy streets with total confidence!

Here is my official resume, just in case you're in the market for a very good boy:
* First Impressions: I can be a little cautious around totally new situations. If you use a calm, gentle approach, I warm up incredibly fast and my friendly, sweet side takes over.
* My Daily Schedule: I'm told I am surprisingly chill for a puppy. My routine is a perfect, 50/50 balance of investigating every new corner of my surroundings and taking top-tier naps on the couch.
* The Apprentice: Right now, my favorite hobby is shadowing my big foster brother. I love following his lead and learning how to be a professional dog.
* Love Language: Uninterrupted belly rubs and elite-level snuggle sessions.

If you have a comfy couch, a gentle touch, and room for a loyal shadow, I’m your guy.

His foster parents agree: Zibby is honestly the perfect pup! He is so chill and learns incredibly quickly. Every single day he gets more confident, and with that, we see the full extent of his sweet demeanor and intelligent personality!

Zibby is approximately 0y 4m 25d old and may be 53 to 63 pounds when fully grown. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done.

Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog.

Mixed / Unknown breed temperament

Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed. The rescue's write-up is the best guide.

Exercise

Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.

In a NYC apartment

Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
