About Edison

Meet Edison.

Edison’s story is one of resilience, determination, and second chances. This sweet poodle mix was found in Georgia in heartbreaking condition, severely emaciated, dehydrated, and too sick to even eat. Once he was brought to safety, veterinarians discovered the cause of his suffering: a serious intestinal obstruction that required immediate medical intervention. Thanks to the dedicated care he received and his own incredible fighting spirit, Edison made a remarkable recovery. Today, he's healthy, happy, and ready to find the loving family he has always deserved. Despite everything he has been through, Edison has remained gentle, affectionate, and eager to connect with people. He loves being close to his humans and has a charming way of making friends wherever he goes. His signature move? Giving adorable "pawshakes" to everyone he meets: a sweet little trick that never fails to bring smiles. Edison has already overcome more than most dogs ever should, and now he's ready for the best chapter yet: a forever home filled with love, comfort, and plenty of pawshakes. Could you be the happy ending Edison has been waiting for?

Mixed Breed temperament

Mixed-breed dogs pull traits from several lines, which often means fewer breed-linked health problems and a temperament best judged by meeting the dog. What the foster or shelter observed day to day is far more predictive than any breed guess.

Exercise

Depends on the individual. A daily walk plus play is the baseline; ask the foster how the dog behaves after a quiet day.

In a NYC apartment

Mixes are often excellent city dogs. Building breed restrictions are usually enforced on what a dog looks like, so ask the rescue how the dog is typically identified.
