My name is Benny. I am a male, orange Pomeranian mix. I have been at the shelter since Jul 30, 2026. Hi, I'm Benny! I'm a 4-year-old Pomeranian with a fluffy coat, a happy heart, and a voice that's... well... Let's just say I never miss an opportunity to express myself. I came to the shelter through no fault of my own after my owner was unfortunately incarcerated and their family wasn't able to care for me. It was a sad change, but now I'm ready to find a new family to love. If you meet me, you'll quickly discover that I'm about as sweet as they come. I love people, I love attention, and I think every day is a good day to make a new friend. I also happen to have a very enthusiastic singing voice. For such a little dog, I can make some impressively big announcements! Whether I'm greeting visitors, sharing my opinions, or simply joining the neighborhood conversation, I like to make sure my voice is heard. Some people call it barking. I prefer to think of it as performance art. Benny is looking for a family that appreciates all the wonderful things about Pomeranians—including their big personalities and even bigger voices. If you're searching for a quiet, invisible little dog, I might not be your guy. But if you're looking for a loyal companion who will keep you company, make you laugh, and maybe even convince you to sing along every now and then, I'd love to meet you. After all, every great duet needs two performers. Benny is neutered, dewormed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines. His adoption fee is $650.00, plus $8.50 for the dog license if you are a resident of NYC. Benny will also get one free exam with one of our participating veterinarians within 30 days of his adoption.
